Dr. Md. Mahbub Hasan, a Commonwealth Scholar from Mymensingh near the Brahmaputra River, completed his education at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, SUST, Sylhet-3114. He then joined Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd in 2013 as an R&D Officer, contributing significantly to Biosimilar production, especially Insulin Glargine, and excelling in mass spectrometry and computational biology. During his industrial tenure, Dr. Hasan received extensive training in liquid chromatography, biotherapeutics production, and mass spectrometry from global leaders like AB Sciex and GE Healthcare. In 2015, he transitioned to academia, joining the University of Chittagong’s Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology as a Faculty Member. Additionally, Dr. Hasan pursued his PhD at King’s College London, focusing on Drug Discovery in cancer treatment. His research led to the development of cutting-edge anticancer payloads for Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs), with hands-on experience in Synthetic Chemistry, Cell Culture, and Cancer Biology. These compounds are now in the commercialization pipeline for further advancement.
