MPhil and PhD Opportunity in Chittagong University

Description:

Disease Biology & Molecular Epidemiology Research Group (dBme) and Next-Generation sequencing, Research & Innovation Lab Chittagong (NRICh) of the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology at the University of Chittagong is seeking a number of full-time MPhil and PhD applicants to join exciting research projects focused on:
· Type 2 Diabetes
· Whole Exome Sequencing
· Gene Expression
· Gut Microbiome

Collaboration: we have active collaboration with a US university and a Biotech Startup.

Salary: Attractive monthly stipend as per government provision (for full-time researchers)

Duration:
· PhD: 3 years (full-time, tentative)
· MPhil: 2 years (with the option to pursue a PhD upon satisfactory performance)

Minimum Requirements:
· CGPA of at least 3.40 in both B.Sc. and MS.
· Applicants having MPhil degree will get priority for Ph.D. admission.

Preferred Academic disciplines:
· Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology
· Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
· Microbiology
· MBBS / BDS / DVM/ Pharmacy/ Zoology/or a closely related discipline from life sciences.
